If you come from the north: the A75 motorway is toll-free, except the spectacular Millau bridge. The old route through the centre of Millau is a cheaper alternative: you avoid almost € 8 toll for the bridge, you have the last possibility to fill up your car with cheaper fuel and, when leaving Millau in the direction of Montpellier, it is even a better way to admire the bridge.

When leaving Millau, follow the signs A75 again and go southwards. Then take junction 48 to Cornus and afterwards follow Fondamente. In Fondamente: go left on the D93 direction Saint Xist and Le Clapier, pass the hamlet Montpaon. Just after Tournadous turn right at the stone with the indicator St Julien / Le Pas de Ceilhes. Follow this road (accessible for caravans) for 3 km, and be our guest!

If you come from the south west, for example from Lodève via the D93, then follow the direction Fondamente, just after the little church village St. Xist take the first junction on your left and follow this road for 3 km.

By train: the high speed trains from Brussels and Paris make a stop in Béziers. Then take the local train (to the north in the direction Millau) to Ceilhes-et-Rocozels. From Ceilhes-et-Rocozels it takes one hour to walk to the camping. Almost half way you will pass another (textile) camping. Your first walking excursion trough the valley called le Pas de Ceilhes.

The alternative is to try to make an appointment with another camping guest to pick you up by car from Montpaon, the next railroad station after Ceilhes-et-Rocozels.

For a virtual visit surf to:

  • Op Google Maps
  • Op Geoportail, fill in at `Communes’ the village of ‘Fondamente’ and then scroll southwards.

Our camping is open for members of organizations that are connected to the IFN/NFN, provided that you have a valid year seal. You can also become a member of Les Grifouls, the club that resides on Le Pas de Ceilhes. If you have a handicap, do not hesitate consult us beforehand. If needed, we can arrange a rather flat spot close to the recently renovated bathroom with a broader entry for wheel chairs and equipped with extra handles.

For recharging the dead battery of an electric wheelchair you yourself must take along a solar panel. To keep medicine cold, a fridge (on gas) is necessary. Or you need a plastic box or case which can stand in the shallow cold creek.

Campfire is not permitted because of fire danger. For this reason barbecuing is only allowed on the indicated spots. Please only smoke outside, and pick up all your fag ends to keep the environment clear. Dogs of association members are only permitted on the Pré des Violettes.
